HellermannTyton acquires Höhle

Cable management and protection product vendor, HellermannTyton has acquired Höhle, a manufacturer of microduct systems for fibre optic cables in telecoms applications.

The purchase of Höhle is designed to strengthen HellermannTyton Connectivity's business and further expands its customer base. According to a statement from Höhle on the company's website, the new owners are planning a €10m investment in the expansion of the factory. The company also states that co-owner, Toomas Koobas will continue as the head of the company and that all existing jobs will be preserved.

Andrew Leyland, President at HellermannTyton says: "In addition to the acquisition of Gabocom in 2019, this further enhances HellermannTyton's market position in the fibre broadband market."

Adds Matthew Hunter, Managing Director at HellermannTyton Connectivity: "By increasing our manufacturing footprint and expanding our market reach, we offer comprehensive, market-leading connectivity solutions to the fibre optical sector. Excellent availability of our product offering increases the speed of deployment to both new and existing markets."
