Nov 27, 2023Local Burger Joint Closes with Little Warning
There haven't been too many major restaurant closures over the last several months, which is a good sign for the rebounding industry. Of course, with all the major events running through greater Phoenix since the beginning of the year (basically starting with the College Football Playoff game on New Year's Eve and continuing through much of the calendar year thus far), there has been a solid influx of outsider money coming in to help sustain restaurants. With the summer months right around the corner, fewer residents will be out and about. While summer is often the busiest time of year for other parts of the country, the incredible heat, not to mention snowbirds leaving for the season, makes it one of the low points in terms of sales. Due to this, you will begin seeing a number of restaurants calling it quits now. That includes one metro Phoenix burger joint.
The desire of Truland Burgers & Greens was always to give consumers the ability to know they were eating not only fresh produce but beef that was 100% hormone and antibiotic free. Owners wanted to ensure everyone knew where their food was coming from and that it wasn't packed full of toxins or chemicals that might cause harm later on in life. The restaurant first took shape down in Tucson and, since its opening has thrived. It eventually moved up to metro Phoenix where it opened a second location in Chandler. The Chandler location, however, has announced its closure.
Truland Burgers & Greens announced on its Facebook page earlier in the week that it would close down its Chandler location at the end of the work day this coming Saturday (May 27). The exact reason for what prompted the closure was not given. The posting was short, sweet, and to the point. Truland thanked its hard-working staff for three years of business. The Tucson location will remain open.
If you are interested in stopping by the Chandler location prior to its closure (or if you have a gift card and you need to use it up), the Truland Burgers & Greens is located at 140 North Arizona Avenue (#100). It is open Friday from 11 AM until 10 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM until 10 PM.
If you happen to find yourself down in Tucson, the location there can be found at 7322 North Oracle Road and is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 AM until 9 PM and on Friday and Saturday from 11 AM until 10 PM.
