North Duke Street in Durham is reopening after being closed for more than 13 hours due to a crash.

Police said a car crashed into a power pole before 7:30 p.m. on Monday, bringing the pole and power lines down on North Duke Street.

The crash caused several Durham residents to lose power. Power has since been restored.

WRAL News was told there were two fiber cables lying across the street.

Sometime after 4 a.m. Spectrum was working to move its fiber cable from the street. A Duke worker said Frontier didn't plan on coming out to move its fiber cable until 5 a.m.

Sky 5 flew over the scene after 7:30 a.m.

Police reopened three of the four lanes on N. Duke Street just after 7:30 a.m. All of the lanes are expected to reopen after 9 a.m.
