The upcoming SEMA Show is bound to feature a number of wild, over-the-top projects, and one of the first unveiled in the lead-up to the event is this, a widebody Kia Stinger.

This particular kit was built by Adro and conceived by Melvin J Roman, a teacher at the College of the Sequoias in California. Roman attends the SEMA Show every year with his students and for this year's event, decided to create his own wild project.

Starting out life as a standard 2022 Kia Stinger, the car first received a custom widebody kit from Adro with flared wheel arches, a revised front fascia with a carbon fiber splitter, extended side skirts, and a carbon fiber rear diffuser. Adding to the wild looks of the sports sedan are wheels with black spokes and copper-colored rims sitting over a set of red Brembo brake calipers.

A host of other modifications have been made to the car. For example, it features a forged carbon fiber hood, a carbon fiber tailgate, and a particular intriguing rear wing with three uprights and large aerodynamic fins stretching out from either side. The Stinger's roof also has a forged carbon fiber finish, although we suspect it is simply a wrap or a thin layer of carbon.

Rounding out the upgrades are multi-colored LED lights incorporated into the standard headlights, the front grille, and the side air curtains of the front bumper.

It doesn't appear as though any mechanical modifications have been made to the Stinger, although that's not necessarily a bad thing as it already offers plenty of performance. Sitting at the base of the range is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 hp and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) while those seeking some additional grunt can opt for a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 368 hp and 376 lb-ft (510 Nm).
